This is known from different names like dhyana mudra, chinmudra, Jnana mudra, etc. There is no time limit to do this mudra. Jnana Mudra is among the 5 mudras. You can do it for more than 45 minutes also. Studies proved that there are a close connection and link between thumb and mind. Janana mudra removes fickle mindedness and brings consistency in mind. It boosts electromagnetic power flow in our bodies.

It removes fear, laziness, suspecting others and effective to treat madness also.
